how do zlumbers pyjamas work?

Zlumbers pyjama pants are all-in-one bedwetting sleepwear, designed to look and blend in with regular pyjamas while providing built-in leak-proof protection.

Unlike other bedwetting clothing designed for light leaks, Zlumbers sleepwear is made to handle full overnight accidents.

Because every child is different, there can be a wide range in volume per void, but Zlumbers are designed to confidently absorb the equivalent of 1–2 overnight wees.

For best results, we recommend washing 2 times before first use to maximise absorbency and help reduce the risk of leakage.

Do not exceed 40°C when washing and drying.

Inside the pants, soft absorbent layers absorb moisture and lock it into a hidden core. A discreet waterproof barrier underneath prevents leaks from reaching bedding, while waterproof trimming helps redirect any overflow back into the absorbent layers, keeping it from seeping onto the outer fabric.

This layered design allows Zlumbers to confidently absorb 1 - 2 nighttime accidents, keeping your child comfortable, dry, and protected all night long.

On the outside, Zlumbers look just like regular pyjamas - with no need for nappies, or other protective bedding.

can my child wear zlumbers during the day?

No. Zlumbers are not designed for daytime or standing up use.

Zlumbers are designed for sleeping in typical lying-down positions, with an absorbent core and escape-proof barriers designed to be effective in the laying down position only.

If your child wakes up with wet Zlumbers, the inner core will have locked in any liquid absorbed while lying down, allowing them to stand up and walk to the bathroom confidently to change without leaks escaping.

They are however not designed to contain accidents that happen while standing or active during the day.

how are they different to other bedwetting products?

Zlumbers aren’t just “training underwear” or light-dribble protection - they’re all-in-one bedwetting sleepwear designed for real nighttime accidents.

Many other products can make kids feel different or embarrassed, requiring them to wear a nappy, bulky training undies, use obvious extra protective bedding in front of their peers, or simply are unable to contain the absorbency volume for moderate bedwetting.

Zlumbers are different; they provide maximum protection while helping kids sleep confidently and comfortably.

Unlike other products that may be bulky, visible, or only hold a small amount, Zlumbers:

- Absorb one - two nighttime accidents, not just light dribbles

- Have a hidden, multi-layer absorbent core with leak-proof barriers

Sizing, Fit & Care

are zlumbers machine washable & tumble-dry friendly?

Yes! Zlumbers are designed for real life and can be machine washed and tumble dried.

Simply turn them inside out, wash at 40°C with like colours, and avoid bleach or fabric softeners to protect the absorbent and leakproof layers.

Zlumbers is best hung to dry inside out or if tumble dried do not exceed maximum 40°C as this may compromise waterproof materials, bonding, and taped seam adhesives as well as void warranty.

Keep in mind, the same superpowers that make Zlumbers waterproof also mean they may need a little extra drying time.

Zlumbers can be washed and reused repeatedly, making them an environmentally friendly alternative to other disposable products.

should i wash my zlumbers before first use?

Yes! For best performance - please give them 2 warm washes before their first adventure.

This helps double (or more) their absorbent superpower.

It's not just for freshness. Washing helps remove natural oils and manufacturing residues, "wakes up" the fibres, and lets them do what they do best - absorb like magic!
Each wash helps the natural cotton and hemp layers open up and get more absorbent.

Do not exceed 40°C when washing and drying.

If Zlumbers aren’t washed before first use, they won’t absorb as effectively, which can increase the chance of leaks. Washing significantly increases their absorbency, so this step is very important.

Please note: Be sure to try on your Zlumbers and confirm the fit before removing tags and washing, as washing will void refund and exchange eligibility.

what ages are zlumbers made for & how to get the perfect fit?

Zlumbers come in a range of sizes to suit children from around 3 years up to approximately 14 years.

Our sizing is spaced to cover average age ranges, but it’s not one-size-fits-all - every child comes in their own beautiful shape and size.

For the best fit, we recommend checking your child’s measurements against our sizing chart to ensure they’re comfortable, protected, and ready for a great night’s sleep.

FIT NOTE: Zlumbers’ shorts and pants are designed with a generous fit and run slightly large to accommodate a variety of shapes and sizes. If you’re between sizes or unsure, we recommend sizing down.

this question stinks.... but seriously, will my zlumbers smell?

Zlumbers are made from a cotton and hemp blend, which naturally helps reduce bacteria and odour. Hemp is especially known for being resistant to bacterial growth, while cotton is soft, breathable, and comfortable.

However, we can’t guarantee they’ll be completely odour-free, as this can vary depending on factors like diet and individual body chemistry and how your Zlumbers are cared for.

To keep Zlumbers fresh, it’s important to wash and dry them correctly.

We suggest a quick rinse before washing them as soon as possible after use and ensuring they are fully dried once washed. Remember — the same superpowers that make Zlumbers waterproof also mean they may need a little extra drying time.

my zlumbers are leaking. what is wrong?

While we never want this to happen, sometimes things can falter. We want to make sure you have the best experience using Zlumbers.

In many cases, leaks happen because the product is being used outside its intended conditions.

Common causes include:

The pants haven’t been washed at least twice before use, therefore the fibres in the absorbency layer won’t be fully activated, which can significantly reduce absorbency and increase the risk of saturation and leakage
Choosing a size that’s too big or small
Tucking a t-shirt or other sleepwear into the Zlumbers, creating a ladder for liquid to escape
The total urine volume exceeding the absorption capacity.
Please ensure your child removes their Zlumbers upon waking up to avoid overflow.
